Sign up your Kroger Plus card and help WMC!

For all Kroger Plus card holders:

Kroger maintains a donation pool that can be distributed to qualifying organizations based on the proportion of sales linked to shoppers’ Kroger Plus cards. Women in Music – Columbus has qualified to join the list of organizations, so for anyone that can take a few minutes to sign up their Kroger Plus cards, your normal shopping can benefit WMC! This does not increase the price of your groceries…

Here is how the Program works:

Cantilena Concerts 2009-10 Season in Full Swing

Cantilena Concerts has presented two of its three concerts this season, to over 300 audience members thus far. Our Nov. 8 concert, the Brasil Guitar duo, presented a magical fusion of musical styles and images of the Brazilian landscape. Our Polar Express-themed Nov. 29 concert had such demand for tickets that it was presented twice, featuring the Cosmos Trio and members of the Columbus Children’s Choir. Our thanks go out to all our audience members, and especially to the Kenneth L. Coe and Jack Barrow Fund of the Columbus Foundation, for their support of Cantilena Concerts. Please be sure to join us for an operatic romp when Cantilena Concerts returns to Capital University in March!

Support the Early Childhood Education and Family Center

We are currently taking donations for the purchase of a Clavinova digital piano for the ECEFC on Johnstown Rd. The Center provides educational resources for special-needs children, and Women in Music – Columbus has had a longstanding relationship with the Center to enhance the childrens’ experience through musical programs. The Center’s current piano is aging and in a difficult-to-access location in the building, so a Clavinova digital piano will provide mobility and much lower maintenance for the Center’s instrument. We are only about $200 away from the purchase price as of New Year’s Eve, so please consider WMC and the ECEFC as we enter the New Year.
