Dues-paying members receive free admission to the Huntington Concerts, and to Musical Explorations; as well as a reduced charge to the Cantilena Concerts. In addition, members receive an annual yearbook and bi-monthly newsletters. Members are encouraged to participate in outreach and mentoring programs and serve the organization on various Functional Committees. Instrumentalists and vocalists may audition at two levels of performance - 1) Soloist and/or ensemble performer at public concerts 2) Soloist and/or ensemble performer for in-house concerts (Musical Explorations). Click here to view descriptions of the various performance levels and audition requirements for each. Auditions are held several times throughout the season. Contact auditions@womeninmusiccolumbus.com for more information or to schedule an audition.

Members regularly form chamber ensembles to perform on concert series or at public venues. Established groups include Amalia Consort (which performs Renaissance and Baroque music on period instruments), Divertimenti (a fluid string chamber group that ranges from 3-6 performers), Aurora Quartet (a string quartet), and the Columbus Cellos.

Composers, teachers, and musicologists are able to practice their arts within WMC as well. Performed works, mentoring opportunities, and program notes and discussions showcase the abilities of many of our multi-talented members.

Reimbursement Form: WMC members wishing to be reimbursed for expenses incurred doing business for the organization must submit receipts and the reimbursement form to the treasurer.
